Holy Snap!! I can’t believe the time has come. I remember grandpa always saying, “one day” he will retire. I didn’t think that “one day” really would come! Well that “one day” has come and…were off!
After 30 years of working for the Malta highway district my grandpa finally retired! This day was a little rough for a few of us but after 30 years it was way much deserved!!
I remember being a kid and going to ride with my grandpa in the snow plow, the road grader and anything else I possibly could just to spend the day with him at work! I thought I was the coolest girl ever because I got to ride in the “big trucks” and I thought I was even cooler when I got to pull the horn, turn the light or flip the switches. Days like this never got old In fact I was able to ride with him again this summer and I still had lots of fun with him!! I remember during the long snowy months in good ol’ Malta calling grandpa at night and asking him to please please please just stay home and let us have a snow day the next day! He laughed and said, ha ill do what I can!
we celebrated by having a company part for him with everyone that has worked with him in the highway district someway then last weeknd we celebrated as family, friends, and all with a HUGE party!
I love my grandpa so much and am so thankful for the hard work being head honcho at the Malta highway district!
Well gramps you’re retired…so come visit us in Utah! Have lots of fun! I sure do love yaJ CONGRATS!!!
