I can’t believe that summer has pretty much come and gone for me! After months of contemplating where to go to school and when to start and talking to my family numerous of times (my mom probably got like 5 calls a day) I finally decided to start next Monday at Provo college! I thought I would never be able to do this but ready or not here I go! My mom came down about the first of June and her Traci and I went and met with one of the advisors and the financial aid advisor too! (Parents save $$$ now for your kids to go to school) They wanted me to start in July but I had no idea if I was going to be ready by then so I said September. A few days later they called and asked if I would please think about starting in July….well…I’m starting in July!!! The end of June I met with the dental assisting advisor and walked through all the steps to be ready before I walk through the doors and start my new career! I had to get caught up on all my shots, get me some new white shoes, some tall socks, and white shirts! Well it’s all done and I am ready! On Friday I go back to the school for an orientation to get my books, learn about each of my classes, get my id, and my scrubs! I think when I get that it will sink in that this is it, this is the road to my new journey to succeed my childhood dream. At Provo College if all goes as planned I will graduate May of 2012 and get a degree in dental assisting!! (Crossing my fingers)
My first meeting with Provo college they asked, “why dental assisting?’ Well to tell you the truth I have wanted to be a dental assistant ever since 4th grade! My answer was always I want to follow my aunt Trish and become a dental assistant then I decided I needed to make more $$$ so hopefully if all works out and goes as planned I will work as a assistant for a year and take a few online classes then finish my degree and go into dental hygienist!
I have too say thanks so much to all my family for helping though this journey of deciding when and where! I couldn’t do it without you guys! Love you all sooo much, and I better be seeing your smiley, teary eyed faces at my graduation next may!!
constipating over where to go?? (:
